Welcome to the 33rd edition of the Queenstown JazzFest which promises to deliver an exciting five days of live musical entertainment set in a place we affectionately refer to as 'God's amphitheatre'. The festival has grown from humble beginnings back in 1978 to become one of New Zealand's most heralded jazz events, featuring world class musicians from throughout the country and around the globe. We have assembled a stunning line-up of over 100 local, national and international artists who will showcase their talents across all genres of jazz as they take part in over 40 different free events and headline ticketed concerts. From smooth blues to big band swing, Dixieland to funk bands, traditional jazz to contemporary beats, there is literally something for everyone, young and old. Our festival delivers a unique experience for all to enjoy with an extensive range of free events around the Wakatipu district on our community stages and at official JazzFest venues across town. The Jazz Stage on Earnslaw Park will bring music to the masses, delivering an exciting three days of Jazz on Queenstown’s central lakefront and there will be no better place to be on Sunday as we host the festivities in the lead up to the Final of the Rugby World Cup. We’ve also got outstanding dinner shows for your dining and listening pleasure and some fantastic concert events that will appeal to all ages. There are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved, to be inspired, and most importantly, to be thoroughly entertained.
