TSIGANES - Carolina Moon, Nigel Gavin, Richard Adams, Neil Billington
Get in the mood in the spectacular surrounds of the Jack’s Point Clubhouse & Restaurant with a selection of French gypsy jazz and swinging standards interspersed with some beautiful old songs of the Spanish Sephardic Jews. Ms Moon delivers a fantastic performance of Django manouche et Piaf  and draws into the mix romances and wedding songs from her Sephardic project with Nigel.
Carolina Moon and Nigel Gavin have been performing and touring for the last 7 years in NZ, Australia and the Greater Pacific with their Sephardic world music project. Their CD Mother Tongue was released at WOMAD in 2011 and they are overjoyed to be joined by Richard Adams, a long-time musical partner of Nigel, and Neil Billington to complete the circle.
Richard Adams, a leading jazz violinist and contemporary abstract artist will down his instrument during this special Jazz Art performance to paint a live composition, translating the sound and energy of their music into visual expression.
This promises to be a very special performance indeed!
